Guest Post: How Positive Thinking has Changed my Life

Here’s our latest guest post by someone who goes by the name of Stephanie.

Sitting here in a reflective mood tonight, I began thinking about how my life has changed since I changed my way of thinking. It’s astonishing when I delve into it.

Let me start at the beginning. It’s pretty fair to say I was at a low the lowest point in my life. My father had passed away and it brought with it a whole tonne of tragedy and turmoil.

I had two options:

1. Throw in the towel, give up on life and become a depressed, sorry, soul

2. Get off my arse and heal myself

While number one was tempting, and it seemed the easiest at the time, number two was much better suited to me. Even through the toughest times, I knew that somewhere in my soul there was a strong person and I refused to give up.

I went in search of answers on how to heal myself. At first I immersed myself in forums, which were aimed at people going through similar problems. These, I found to be very depressing and made me feel worse.

Then, and not by coincidence, I stumbled upon these amazing speakers who teach people how to change their lives. The answer to my problem was simple. Change your thoughts and your life will change.

Fast forward to the present; my life has transformed and I have become a happy, content person, who loves life.

While positive thinking has brought me business success, it’s what’s happened to me on the inside that stands out for me. I have become a kinder, more loving, less hating, understanding person.

If you already follow the world’s greatest positive speakers who have changed my life, such as Dr Wayne Dyer and Louise Hay, you’ll know that forgiveness is key.

When I began watching online videos about positive affirmations, positive thinking and changing your thoughts, I realised I was racked with anger. I had a lot of hang ups with a lot of people. But it wasn’t their fault. It was mine.

You see, you’re the only person that has the ability to change the way you feel. No amounts of sorry or kind words will cut it. When you forgive, deep down in your heart, you release a whole load of negativity. I would say that has been the biggest benefit for me so far, since changing the way I think.

The world seems like a beautiful place and I’m intrigued to find out what’s next in my world, because I know it will be great.
